It’s a big month! The International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation World Water Ski Show Tournament will take place October 21-23 in Winter Haven. Teams from Belgium, Canada, Germany, Sweden, and US will compete. Welcome to Polk County, and good luck to all of the teams!
We wanted to celebrate 100 years of waterskiing in this issue. After all, Winter Haven is the Water Ski Capital of the World. Thank you to Dave Dershimer for taking the time to introduce us to original members of Cypress Gardens for our interviews. Thank you to Lynn Novakofski for providing us with a vintage photo of the Cypress Gardens Ski Team for our LKLD Magazine.
