Hello November!

This month we focus on Girls Inc. and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Polk County.  Both organizations are imperative to our community and both are facing challenging times.  You can read all about what they do for Polk County and how you can help during a time when they need it more than ever.  We also visit Catapult in Lakeland to find out how they’re helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams.  Did you know you can eat at their pop-ups and try all kinds of interesting foods from new businesses?  We’ve got all the details for you inside.

Thank you to the Winter Haven Public Library for their monthly book selections!  They offer book recommendations for adults and kids and we really appreciate it!  We also hear from contributing writer, Lisbeth from Ethos Coffee Roasters, thank you!

We’ve added the calendar and our Top Ten lists back to the magazine.  Please make sure the event you’re interested in is still happening before you leave the house.  It’s possible that events could be canceled with very little notice, please double-check and stay safe!

Continue to tag your FB & IG posts with #kindachill and you might find it printed in the December issue.  Show us how you and your family love to support our local community!  Did you know you can read our current and past issues online at havenmagazines.com?  Create an account and you can even add your events to the calendar.

We apologize for leaving out the names of the artists of the October cover.  The original, unedited version was created by Stan Manoukian & Vincent Roucher.

From all of us at Haven Magazine, we hope you have a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  We are so thankful to all of you that pick us up every month! We’re thankful to our advertisers, we couldn’t do this without you and we appreciate it.  Thank you again and have a great November, everyone!
