DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD

Throughout the month at Glazer Children’s Museum, visitors can walk the paths and hear the sounds of Daniel’s world as they encounter the meaning of empathy, gratitude, sharing, and diversity in an environment of creative and interactive play. “SUMMER OF SOUL” BLOCK PARTY

July 2, Admission to the 5-7pm Block Party is FREE for all ages. Tickets for the 7:30pm screening of “Summer of Soul” are $11.50. For details & tickets visit tampatheatre.org/movie/summer-of-soul/. In 1969, more than 300,000 people attended the Harlem Cultural Festival. It was filmed, but after that summer, the footage sat in a basement for 50 years. It has never been seen. Until now.

Every Tuesday night, 8pm at Shuffle at 2612 N Tampa St. Participate in Open Mic Night, all music genres welcome. Shuffle is Florida’s first and only indoor shuffleboard bar and restaurant.  Play on four indoor regulation-size shuffleboard courts, a kitchen serving concession stand style food, a bar serving beer, wine, liquor, and six rotating taps. KING CRIMSON

July 22, 7:30pm at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. King Crimson was formed in London in 1968 and have been influential on both the early 1970s progressive rock movement and many contemporary artists with their ground-breaking debut “In The Court Of The Crimson King” (1969). ONE ACT FESTIVAL

July 23 - Aug. 1 performed by the Carrollwood Players in Tampa.  Audiences will experience a mix of short plays never-before produced in Florida. This event provides playwrights with an opportunity to see their work produced and provides emerging directors with experience under the guidance of seasoned mentors. TAMPA BAY COMIC CON

July 30 - Aug. 1 at the Tampa Convention Center.  Exhibitors include comic books, magazines, toys, games, Star Wars, Star Trek, anime, manga, cosplay, artwork, sketches and apparel. KRINGLE JINGLE 5K

July 31, 7am in Shady Hills. The Concourse will have both paved roads and rolling Florida Trails.
