Resident, John Straughn has been dropping by our office every month for about a year now.  He has been advocating for an issue dedicated to autism awareness.  Little did he know, that it wouldn’t take much convincing.   I was more than happy to dedicate an issue on this topic.  I’d like to thank the Freeland Family, Swingle Family, Rayburn Family and the Rucki-Stanley Family for sharing their lives with me.  I’ve learned so much, and I’m sure these families will inspire you, too.  They were  very open and honest, I appreciate the courage to let their lives be public.

We learn about SUN ‘n Fun’s Fly-In and all of the good they do for our community.  We visit Red Door Lakeland and learn about their new menu coming up.  And we’re in awe at Kim over at Lakeland Pad Parties who is helping Lakeland in a very needed area.  Find out how you can get involved!

Read about Sally & Nando’s adventures on a new pontoon boat!  It will leave you with a smile on your face.

And that’s not all!  We have a full calendar, Top Ten lists to keep you busy and local news briefs to keep you informed.

Support your local businesses & I’ll see you around town!
